- Protect workers while phasing out pesticides
Suggestions for Talking Points:
∙ I am a concerned student/citizen calling to voice my opposition to your use of dangerous and toxic lawn pesticides. Please take immediate action to protect the health of children, pets and the environment from the chemicals you use which are known possible carcinogens.
∙ Over half of the chemicals you use on my family’s lawn are possibly carcinogenic according to the US EPA. This puts my pets and my children in grave danger. As the nation’s industry leader in lawn care pesticides, you need to lead the way in offering a safer, non-toxic alternative line of lawn treatment practices. ∙ Why are you using chemicals such as 2,4 D, dicamba and MCPP to make lawns green when you could be protecting the health of children and pets by offering a safer, non-toxic alternative?
∙ My family has used ChemLawn in the past, and no one ever told us it was unsafe. Why is it that you don’t disclose any information about your product to your clients? I want to know what chemicals you use on Florida’s lawns and how they are impacting our public health, in writing. I want this information on your website, available to the public!
